About me

Tomáš Pelc – IT Analytik

Who am I?

As the name of the website suggests – my web is my name, and my name is my web! I decided to build a place where I can share what I enjoy… and maybe cause a bit of trouble along the way. I've been around the IT world for quite some time, and I feel the moment has come to start sharing my experiences and passions. Many seasoned professionals will probably agree that the world of information technology is huge! And what do I love about it the most? That everyone can find what truly excites them and grow in that direction.

Here, I’d like to share insights about IT analysis, UML, the Enterprise Architect tool, and much more. I’ve noticed there’s not that much content about these topics floating around the web. I’ve spent half of my career programming in .NET, and the other half — well, pretty much all of it — diving into IT analysis. My plan is to publish proven programming know-how and tips. Although, in today’s world of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ruled by ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot, it makes little sense to try to be a bigger source than your own experience. So, instead, I’ll try to enrich it with small, practical gems — links to great websites, YouTube channels, or maybe even some books… (though honestly, who still reads books when you can just drop a prompt into ChatGPT, right?)

What keeps me going!

Besides the IT world, I’ve got my own hobbies too. Let’s split what I enjoy into two parts — things I love technically and web-wise, and things I’m into when I’m not sitting at my PC 💻 I decided to organize it this way so it matches how I’ll structure the topics on this site.

The IT world as my hobby

Here are a few key points that are part of my profession:

  • The Microsoft .NET Framework – one of my absolute favorites.
  • Programming in C# – the main language of the .NET universe.
  • Building web apps with Blazor (ASP.NET) — plus HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for lazy folks like me!
  • Developing REST APIs in ASP.NET — something I’ve really grown to love!
  • Cryptography, authentication & authorization. Website security and how to handle it properly.
  • The UML language, modeling in Enterprise Architect, and writing solid documentation.

My passions!

Here’s what I proudly call my hobbies!

  • Gran Turismo! My racing nickname is D3TN3T-RACER.
  • SimRacing in general — technology has moved forward a lot, and it’s more accessible than ever.
  • Motorsport overall — Formula 1, World Endurance, GT Racing. Driving in circles never gets old!
  • Books? Yep, I still enjoy reading — maybe less than before, but it’s still a hobby of mine.
  • Anime! Especially the good old Japanese kind. You might notice a bit of that vibe around this site!
  • Sports and outdoor activities? Definitely. Hiking, badminton, football, cycling — anything that gets me moving.
